About Cumberland Polytechnic High School
Cumberland Polytechnic High School (CPHS) is a cooperative and innovative health and life science-themed high school. We are a small learning community meant for a population of no more than 300 students. Our focus is to assist students who are interested in health and life science related careers gain exposure to those fields.

Our Mission
The mission of Cumberland Polytechnic High is to provide a creative 21st-century academic community which cares for and prepares students to become contributing members of a global society.

Our Vision
Cumberland Polytechnic High School will be student-centered and committed to preparing students to be college ready with a health and life science focus. 

Course Sequence
Cumberland Polytechnic High School students will earn a high school diploma as well as transferable college credits from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Students will begin college coursework during their sophomore year and will continue receiving college credits during junior and senior year. Coursework at CPHS includes Honors level curriculum and unique learning experiences focused on making students college ready and a career in the health and life sciences field.

Community Service
In order to help students become attuned to the needs of their surrounding community, CPHS students complete a prescribed number of community service hours each year. 

Extracurricular Activities
Students are welcome to join athletic teams at schools in their home districts. For students interested in club activities, CPHS offers sponsored clubs which meet throughout the school year.

Application Information
Students should complete a CCS Choice Program application (to be returned to Cumberland County Schools) and a CPHS Admissions Packet (to be returned to CPHS). For more information and an application, contact the school, schedule a visit with the school counselor, or contact the Student Assignment Office at 910.678.2616.
